Hello again! If you haven’t heard… Insomniac Film Festival is BACK (and with a twist)…
This year’s festival will showcase a curated selection of films alongside LIVE PERFORMANCE PIECES. It will be a multi-dimensional, multi-media, multi-multiple experience. Films will burst out of the screen, interacting with performers and audiences in a way unlike any Insomniac that has come before! And now… WE’RE LOOKING FOR PERFORMERS!!!
We’re open to showcasing any type of performance at Insomniac: Reloaded - music, dance, performance art, a cooking show, skateboarding, comedy, magic, a rock/paper/scissors tournament, sword swallowing, etc., etc., etc…
If you have something you can do, we want it at Insomniac: Reloaded! We will be simultaneously presenting Insomniac: Reloaded both online (via live stream) and in person. You will get a flat rate of $900 for your performance (this includes your artist fee + cost for materials). Performances will be showcased side-by-side with the curated selection of films, but we encourage you to submit performances that exist as their own self-contained works, not in direct response to the films in the show.
When filling out the form below, please keep in mind:
How you would engage both online and in person audiences (for example: materials to send in an at-home viewing package; a specific link for viewers to to visit; ASMR; binaural audio; a specific way for your performance to be live-streamed; etc., etc.)
How you would divide your $900 (please prioritize paying yourself/collaborators!)
Why your performance would fit perfectly into Insomniac: Reloaded’s multi-disciplinary format
What the estimated duration of your performance will be

Insomniac: Reloaded will be held on July 22nd
Our VENUE is currently TBD, but we are certainly open to acts that can be performed on-stage, off-stage, some hybrid of the two, or any other way that you would like! Insomniac will happily work with performers to ensure that the space is perfectly suited for your performance. If you have any venue questions or concerns though, please feel welcome to contact us!
